NHS Golden Jubilee and Scottish Government joint statement following recent media coverage
In agreement with Scottish Government, NHS Golden Jubilee will continue to support the NHS in Scotland in our normal specialist services. Not least as the Jubilee is Scotland's specialist centre for heart and lung treatment. There are no plans for the Jubilee to be a dedicated Covid-19 site.
The Scottish Government is working with all NHS health boards to underake precautions for the likelihood of increased infections of Covid-19. Should these plans require the postponement of elective procedures in hospitals, we will ensure that patients are informed as soon as possible. Any decisions will be made with patient safety as the central consideration.
