Val Irvine
Senior SPVU Research Nurse
Val qualified in 1995, leaving Edinburgh University to work in Medical, then Respiratory medicine. In 2004, she joined the Scottish Pulmonary Vascular Unit (SPVU) at the Western Infirmary Glasgow as a Research Nurse. Val moved to the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in 2008 when the SPVU relocated there. She is now a member of the Research and Development team and continues to work on Pulmonary Vascular research projects.
Fiona Kennedy
SPVU Research Nurse
Fiona graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2007. Having specialised in Cardiothoracic nursing, she worked in the Cardiothoracic wards at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital for seven years. She joined the SPVU department in October 2015 as part of the Research Team.
Joanna Ford
Research Physiotherapist
Joanna gained her BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree atGlasgowCaledonianUniversityin 2003. She has extensive knowledge in a variety of clinical specialities and vast experience in the rehabilitation of patients suffering from advanced heart failure. The Research Physiotherapist for the SPVU team since 2015, Joanna is involved in exercise training for patients suffering from Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.
