Colin Berry
Director of Research and Development
Professor Colin Berry holds a Chair in Cardiology and Imaging in the University of Glasgow. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, the American College of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology. He is Director of Research and Development in the Golden Jubilee National Hospital. He is also a Consultant Cardiologist in this hospital and in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. His subspecialty interests are Interventional Cardiology and Imaging.
Catherine Sinclair
Research Manager
Catherine Sinclair began her career at the University of Glasgow studying Microbiology and then completing a PhD in the broad subject area of Molecular Virology. She then began to specialise in Molecular Immunology with a post-doctoral position in the Department of Microbiology, University of Glasgow, followed by post-docs at the Moredun research Institute and the University of Edinburgh. Her first Research Manager post was with NHS Highland followed by her current post with the Golden Jubilee. Catherine has been Research Manager at the Golden Jubilee for the past eight years.
Roisin Houston
Research Quality Manager
After completing a degree in History at the University of Glasgow, Roisin went on to work in IT as a trainer and in Learning and Development and joined the NHS in 2003 as Training and Development Officer for NHS West Lothian, moving to the National Waiting Times Centre Board in 2004 as Education and Training Manager and then Centre Manager for the Golden Jubilee Research Institute (previously known as the Beardmore Centre for health Science) in 2011. In October 2015 Roisin took up post as Research Quality Manager, which has responsibility for managing the development of stringent quality systems for clinical research that safeguard patient welfare, protect research staff and minimise organisational risk as well as ensuring the hospital fulfils its obligations as sponsor and host site for clinical research projects.
Kirsty Harkness
Senior Administrator
Kirsty began working within the Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre in 2003 working in various departments throughout the hotel over 9 years. After her appointment as Centre for Health Science and Medical Education Support Officer at the Golden Jubilee Research Institute in 2012, Kirsty went on to become the Senior Administrator for the Institute providing professional and effective, administration service within the centre.
Vicky Dabek
Research Governance Officer
Vicky started her employment in 1996 and over the last 20 years working within the health sector has worked in various roles within the organisation. In July 2015 Vicky moved to the Golden Jubilee Research Institute and took up post at the new Research Governance Officer - Vicky's role is in line with the Research Quality Framework.
Sarah Ramsay
Administrator
After completing a degree in Hospitality Management at the University of Strathclyde, Sarah went on to work in the Hospitality Sector for several years specialising in Conference and Event Planning within a family run hotel on Loch Lomond. Sarah joined the NHS in 2014 as Call Handler within NHS24 and went on to become Administrator for the Golden Jubilee Research Institute in March 2016.
