Linda Semple

Linda was appointed on 1 October 2018.

Linda has lived in Scotland since moving from England in 1996. She had a successful career in publishing, bookselling and journalism and has worked in many roles in the NHS, focusing on Health Intelligence, Health Economics and Quality Improvement - this includes eight years as an Assistant Director in NHS Ayrshire and Arran. For the last five years, she was seconded into the Scottish Government where she ran a number of national improvement projects, retiring in March 2018 as Head of Sustainability & Value. As well as her strategic and analytical experience in health systems, Linda has also spent many years working for LGBT and Women’s organisations as a volunteer and in the third sector.

Linda was appointed Interim Chair of NHS Ayrshire & Arran in June 2024.
