NHS Board holds public meeting and seeks new members

The next meeting of the NHS National Waiting Times Centre Board takes place on Thursday 16 June 2011, and interested members of the public are welcome to attend.

 

The Board's meeting dates for 2011 are as follows:

  • Thursday 16 June
  • Thursday 21 July
  • Thursday 15 September
  • Thursday 17 November
  • Thursday 15 December

Jeane Freeman, Chair of the NHS National Waiting Times Centre, said: "All of our Board meetings are open to the public, so we are happy to welcome you along whether you are interested in a particular item which is being discussed, or just want to see how decisions are made."

 

All meetings take place at 9.30am in the Level 5 Boardroom, Golden Jubilee National Hospital, Agamemnon Street, Clydebank. New Non Executives sought

Four new Non Executive Members are being sought to join the NHS National Waiting Times Centre (NWTC) Board.

 

Non Executive Members play a central role in guiding strategies which address the priorities and needs of the organisation, and will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating performance of the Golden Jubilee National Hospital, the Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre and the Beardmore Centre for Health Science.

 

The role will take around eight hours per week and includes a variety of daytime board meetings, daytime visits and other meetings, reading documents in your own time and attending stakeholder events, some of which may be in the evenings or at weekends.

 

Appointments to the NWTC Board are regulated by the Public Appointments Commissioner for Scotland, and are made on merit. The organisation is committed to diversity and equality, and welcomes applications from across Scotland on or before Friday 8 July 2011.
